The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Ilkeston area. We are looking for several dedicated 7.5 Tonne Driver (Cat C1 ) to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00am starts
Pay Rate: £15.00 per hour PAYE
Location: IIkeston, DE7
Job Type: Ongoing
The role:
- Securely moving and transporting palletised or loose parcels to customers or businesses.
- Packages will be heavy (up to 80kg weight)
- Up to 30 drops per day.
- Drivers will be required to unload and load - trucks will be fitted with tail lift for palletised goods
- Focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with C1 entitlement (7.5 Tonne).
- 12 months experience required
- Be comfortable with heavy lifting and handballing
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
