The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Stoke on Trent area. We are looking for multiple 7.5 Tonne drivers to join the team.
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00am starts
Pay Rates: £16.05 per hour PAYE with overtime at £23.43 after 40 hours.
Location: Stoke , ST1 5GP
Job Type: Temp to perm The role:
- Up to 30 deliveries/ collections a day
- Manual handling heavily involved including loading and unloading parcels at depots and customer locations.
- Handling devices and company software to update delivery statuses
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of assigned vehicle, ensuring road worthiness and compliance with company standards.
- Adhere to all relevant traffic laws, regulations, and company policies to maintain a high level of safety on the road.
- Effectively communicate with dispatch and logistics teams to ensure timely deliveries and pickups.
Requirements:
- Full UK licence with 7.5 tonne entitlement (CAT C1)
- 6 months experience required
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
