The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Wigan area. We are looking for multiple HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.
Hours: Shifts across a 24-hour operation, Monday to Sunday (choose your own start windows from 12pm onwards). 10 hour shifts on average.
Pay Rates (2 payment options):
PAYE: £155 per day midweek, £170 per day on weekends
Rolled up: £173 per day midweek, £190 per day on weekends
Location: Wigan, WN5
Job Type: Ongoing with an opportunity for permanent for the right candidate.
The role:
- As part of a 24/7 operation, you’ll be trunking trailers for major parcel companies.
- Covering routes predominantly from the Northwest to Nuneaton/Rugby and Dundee etc.
- Average 10-hour shifts.
- Ongoing work with the opportunity for permanent employment for the right candidate.
- Maintain professionalism and excellent customer service during interactions with customers.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines at all times.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- A minimum of 6 months experience.
- Maximum of 6 penalty points on your driving licence (minor offences only).
- Ability to work independently and efficiently on long-haul runs.
- Reliable, professional, and committed to high safety standards
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Excellent communication skills.
