The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in Avonmouth area. We are looking for multiple HGV Drivers to join the team.
Roles:
- HGV Class 1 days
- HGV Class 1 Nights
Shifts:
- Days - Across Monday to Sunday (weekends included and required)
- Nights - Across Sunday to Friday (weekends included and required)
Hours:
- Days - 15:00pm starts
- Nights - 22:00pm - 23:59pm (occasional 03:00am shift)
Pay Rate:
- Days - £17.29 per hour PAYE
- Nights - £19.20 per hour PAYE
Location: Avonmouth BS11
Job Type: Ongoing with opportunity for perm
The role:
- Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
- Handling runs with 4-5 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
- Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
- Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C&E).
- 1 months experience required
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
