The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of our well known and industry-leading client based in the Carlisle area. We are looking for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers (CAT C+E) to join the team.

Pay Rate: £19.15 to £34.42 per hour PAYE.

The role:
- · Execute depot pull, filling the back of a trailer at the depot and transporting it to a hub.
- · Engage in customer work, taking the vehicle to a customer to collect a trailer, delivering it to a hub, and returning to the depot.
- · Assist with loading and unloading at customer sites and in the depot.
- · Perform drop and swap operations, sometimes using a tail lift, and occasionally doing trailer swaps requiring uncoupling the vehicle.
- · Collaborate with a team to ensure efficient operations and timely deliveries.
- · Travel to local sites for a one-off download of the tacho card prior to being put forward for the position.
- · Attend an on-site induction for the first shift.
Requirements:
- · Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
- · Have at least 6 months of proven experience driving the relevant vehicle.
- · Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- · No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- · Less than 12 infringement points in any one month and no infringement points for three consecutive months.
- · Flexibility to work shifts across Monday to Sunday with start times from 12 pm - 9 pm (all paid at night rate).
- · Ability to travel to local site for tacho card download prior to being put forward.
- · Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- · Excellent communication skills.
