Roles:
- HGV Class 1 - Nights
- HGV Class 1 Shunter - Afters
- HGV Class 2 - Nights
Hours:
- Class 1 & 2 Nights - 40 hours a week( (10hr shifts, 4 days a week) Sunday, Monday. Thursday, Friday - 22:00pm - 23:59pm starts
- Class 1 Shunter - Sunday to Thursday, 12:00pm starts
Pay Rate:
- Class 1 Shunter - £14.36 PAYE per hour, rising to £15.11 after 12 weeks
- Class 1 Nights - £15.87 PAYE Per Hour, rising to £16.62 after 12 weeks
- Class 2 Nights - £15,65 PAYE per hour, rising to £16.35 after 12 weeks

The role:
HGV Class 1 & 2:
· Securely moving and transporting palletised parcels to couriers or collecting them from delivery units.
· Handling runs with 1-2 stops, focusing on safe driving and maintaining accurate paperwork.
· Drivers may be required to assist with loading and unloading of the vehicle using a tail lift and pump truck.
· Interacting with customers and representing the company in a professional and courteous manner.
HGV Class 1 shunter:
Perform shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations.
· Safely maneuver vehicles in tight and busy spaces.
· Conduct pre and post operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
· Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
· Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.
· Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
· Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements.
· Assist with other yard duties as needed
Requirements:
- Full UK driving licence with Class 1 or 2 entitlement (category C+E/ C).
- Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
- No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
- Minimum of 3 months experience
- Full understanding of WTD legislation.
- Be prepared to undertake a short driving assessment for the position.
- Excellent communication skills.
- A safety-first mindset.
