National Account Manager
Looking for your next step? Want a role where you can actually make an impact?
Due to the continuous growth, we are looking for a National Account Manager to join our team and become the right-hand person to the Account Director, supporting the day-to-day running of a fast-paced national account.
This is a hands-on role for someone who is organised, commercially minded, confident with clients & brilliant at keeping things moving! You'll be working closely with the team, picking up the day-to-day jobs, keeping on top of priorities and making sure nothing slips through the cracks.
What will you be doing?
- Supporting the Account Director with the day-today running of the account
- Working closely with the team to monitor workloads, priorities and delivery
- Picking up those "can you just..." jobs that keep the operation moving
- Keeping communication flowing between the team, clients & delivery team
- Building and maintaining strong professional client relationships across the national account
- Handling issues quickly and calmly when things get busy
- Making sure actions are following up and deadlines are met
- Spotting problems before they become problems
- Support and keeping the wider team accountable
- Taking ownership of tasks rather than waiting to be told what to do
- Generally being the person who knows what's happening, what needs doing and what's about to go wrong!
What are we looking for?
- Organised - you can juggle multiple priorities (without losing the plot)
- Calm under pressure - busy days don't send you into meltdown mode
- Client-facing - confident, professional and, importantly, someone people actually like dealing with
- Proactive - you see something that needs doing and get on with it
- A team player - happy to get stuck in and support others rather than operating in your own little bubble.
- Commercially aware - you understand the importance of delivering for both the client and the business
- A strong communicator - you can deal with everyone from the client to the newest member of the team
Most importantly, we need someone with personality, initiative & a bit of get-up-and-go. This is not a role for someone who needs a step-by-step instruction manual for every task.
