The Recruitment Crowd are recruiting on behalf of a highly regarded provider of children's residential care services for an experienced Senior Residential Support Worker.

The Role
As a Senior Residential Support Worker, you will:
- Lead shifts and support the day-to-day running of the home.
- Provide guidance, coaching and support to Residential Support Workers.
- Deliver high-quality, child-centred care tailored to individual needs.
- Build positive, trusting relationships with children and young people.
- Support education, independence, life skills and personal development.
- Promote positive behaviour through therapeutic and restorative approaches.
- Ensure safeguarding remains at the heart of all practice.
- Maintain accurate records, reports and care documentation.
- Work collaboratively with families, education providers, social workers and other professionals.
- Ensure the home operates in line with current legislation, regulations and quality standards.
- Participate in sleep-ins and flexible shift patterns as required.
About You
Essential
- At least 12 months' experience working within a children's residential care setting.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Passion for supporting vulnerable children and young people.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Resilient, calm and able to work effectively under pressure.
- Flexible approach to shifts, weekends and sleep-ins.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent).
- Previous experience leading shifts or supervising colleagues.
- Knowledge of therapeutic childcare approaches.
- Good understanding of Children's Homes Regulations and safeguarding legislation.
