Van Drivers – Rotational Shifts – Stansted (CM22 7DG)
The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting on behalf of a well-established furniture business. We are looking for multiple Van Drivers to join the team on a temp to perm basis.
Location: Stansted, CM22 7DG
Job Type: 13 Week Temp to Perm
Pay Rates:
£13.40 per hour
Increased to £13.82 per hour upon successful completion of probation
Hours & Shift Patterns:
Monday to Friday
Rotational shifts between days and afternoons
06:00 start – approximately 14:30 finish
14:00 start – approximately 22:00 finish
Full-time ongoing work available
The Role:
Multi-drop delivery work across commercial and residential locations
Delivering furniture and household items including sofas, cabinets and other home furnishings
Up to 13 drops per day
Mixture of doorstep deliveries and room of choice deliveries
Some deliveries will involve furniture assembly within customers’ homes
Double manned vehicle crews
Drivers typically complete around 4 hours driving before swapping driving duties
Operating manual transmission vehicles
Providing excellent customer service at delivery points
Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
Requirements:
Full UK Driving Licence
Minimum 2 years driving experience required
Maximum 6 points for minor offences only
Comfortable with manual handling and heavy items
Good customer service skills
Reliable, professional and flexible approach to work
Must be able to work both day and afternoon shifts on a rotational basis
