The Recruitment Crowd are currently recruiting experienced Shunter Drivers to join our team in Coventry, CV8.
We are looking for PM ad-hoc Shunters for Mondays and full-time Night Shunters working Monday to Friday, with additional opportunities available for experienced drivers.
Assessments available ASAP!
Hours Night Shunter Drivers:
- Start times between 19:00 and 22:00
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time and part-time opportunities available
- Part-time availability particularly welcome on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays
- 10-hour shifts available for part-time workers
PM Shunter Drivers :
- Start times between 12:00 and 16:00
- Ad-hoc opportunities available, including Monday shifts
Pay Rates :
- Shunters: £19.12 (Pre Parity) / £21.15 (Post Parity)
- Shunter Night: £20.62 (Pre Parity) / £21.65 (Post Parity)
Location : Coventry, CV8
The Role :
- Shunting trailers within the yard – approximately 40–100 moves per shift
- Yard manoeuvring and reversing with confidence and accuracy
- Communicating effectively with transport and logistics teams
- Maintaining high standards of safety throughout each shift
Requirements :
- Minimum 4 months' shunting driving experience
- Full UK Class 1 licence (C+E)
- Valid DCPC and Digital Tachograph card
- No more than 6 penalty points (minor offences only)
- Successful completion of assessment (theory and practical)
- Strong communication skills and a safety-first attitude
