Location: Warrington (covering Warrington & Barnsley, with responsibility across all 3 hubs)
Salary: Up to £30,000 + benefits + performance bonus (DOE)
The Recruitment Crowd (TRC) are continuing to expand our Transport & Logistics Division, and we are now seeking a dynamic and strategic individual to step into a pivotal position as Account Manager / Senior Account Manager. This role will act as the face of all three major client hubs, taking on responsibility for both senior client engagement and hands-on operational delivery.
The Role
Reporting directly into the Head of Transport & Logistics, this role combines strategy with operational support:
- Client Engagement: Acting as the recognised “face” of TRC across all three hubs, holding regular reviews and meetings with senior stakeholders, presenting data, and driving forward growth strategies.
- Operational Support: Ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the Barnsley and Warrington hubs, with responsibility for troubleshooting, resourcing, and maintaining site standards.
- Recruitment & Workforce Planning: Leading recruitment efforts to ensure both sites are fully manned, supporting compliance, onboarding, and driver engagement.
- Team & Site Cover: Providing hub cover when other Account Managers are unavailable, including participating in the weekend rota to ensure seamless operation.
- Growth & Strategy: Identifying opportunities to expand accounts further, delivering efficiencies, and strengthening client relationships.
Key Requirements
- Previous experience in account management, client relationship management, or operations within the transport/logistics sector.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, confident in leading senior-level client meetings.
- Ability to balance hands-on recruitment and hub cover with the wider strategic priorities of the division.
- Resilient, adaptable, and committed, with the flexibility to thrive in a 24/7 operation.
- Based in Warrington but able to travel regularly to Barnsley and attend meetings across all hubs.
Hours
- Monday to Friday with flexible working to meet the needs of a 24/7 operation.
- Out-of-hours and weekend work as required, on a rota basis, to support site coverage and urgent client needs.
- This is not a 9–5 role – it requires an “all-in” approach, accountability, and a genuine drive to succeed.
What’s on Offer
- Competitive salary of up to £30,000 (DOE) plus benefits and bonus.
- Significant scope for progression and development, with exposure to both client strategy and operational delivery.
- A career-defining opportunity to play a leading role in the management and growth of TRC’s largest transport accounts.
